gavroche

yay it is march! i can't wait for spring! it seems crazy that just 2 weeks ago, i was in new york. how time flies!! i posted this scarf on instagram when i got back. it is the hermes 45 cm silk carre (also called gavroche or pocket square) in the magic kelly print, and is so pretty. i've tied it 3 ways here: a) a cowboy knot, which is simply folded into a triangle; b) on a bias which is folding in 2 corners to the middle and folding until it looks like a rectangle; and, c) using a cowboy knot, styled like an ascot. depending on where you start your fold, the pattern changes, making this a real fun scarf. this will get lots of use, and i will experiment with a scarf ring too. 

the flats i'm wearing are the j. crew janey flats in gold glitter which i got a while back during the 40% off sale promo. i found them to run true to US sizing (thanks to gigi for her review). they were comfortable right out of the box, and required no breaking in. i was surprised because i thought they would be stiff given the glitter, but it wasn't. i am really liking this style and would consider it in other colourways, except i'm obsessed with the etta pumps right now. decisions, decisions.
