dear liza, dear liza. i discovered that my favourite club monaco v-neck sweater had a hole in it. the hole is small and defined so i think the source is klutzy me. sadness. so per instructions to henry, i fixed the hole with a bit of woolen thread but luckily, it is just above the collar at the shoulder so it isn't that obvious. a scarf will hide the hole and i have been pouring over mai tai's how-to tutorials to learn how to tie my scarves. i am all thumbs but eventually have learned the waterfall knot. i think it is still too poofy but practice hopefully will make perfect. someday.
i am planning a valentine's day giveaway so don't forget to come back on monday to see what it is!! have a great weekend!

DeleteI feel your pain- I ripped a hole in my favorite J. Crew long sleeved striped tee (aka my wardrobe staple!) It's under the arm, but it was a pretty big rip and I'm not sure it can be mended well. Anyway...I love the scarf and the blazer with jeans look. I was in Banana this week and it was blazers galore. I really need to find one to work into my wardrobe!
ReplyDeleteyou should totally get one blazer, amy! it is kind of like a cardigan in terms of versatility. i think you'd really enjoy them. i hope you can mend the tee though. hate it when the staples get holes! xox
DeleteClassy and sassy Phiphi! I don't think it's too poofy at all!

Oh so sad when your favorite things get damaged! I hate that. But nice fix with the scarf. I never liked square scarves until recently so I'll have to learn the different ways to wear them. What you are showing is pretty.
ReplyDeletethank you so much! one of my friends recommended this knot and it's pretty - i just don't know how they came up with it in the first place! i wouldn't have ever been able to create it.
DeleteOh so sorry. But you did a great job with the scarf and it does really look great.
