i'm a valentine's day grinch. i love romance and love, but feel you should express your love any other time except on a designated day. as a mom, i keep that to myself, and do valentine's day cards and little gifts with my kids, but i remind them that they should always try do special things for others.
last week, a j. crew box was waiting but i didn't buy anything (then. ha.). when i found the scattered sequins sweater inside, thoughts went to 1. "did i do this in my sleep?" 2. "did i get it and forget, reaching a new level of problems?" 3. "was i hacked? but if i was hacked, wouldn't the hacker buy for themselves and not me?" well, it was my best friend I who sent a valentine's gift. i was so touched she did that out of the blue, and relieved i wasn't losing my mind. so while i'm grinching today, i'll do it in a gift sent to me with love.
finally, the winner of the glamour me jewels giveaway is Celeste! i've emailed you to get your address - congrats!!

I'm all for wishing everyone a happy Valentine's Day BUT I just hate that it makes single people feel bad - it's like couples flaunt their love in others faces...when for the most part from what I can see those that go ALL OUT don't even have a solid relationship to begin with. I think it should be about spreading love to friends and family and that's it! Oh and I'm not opposed to it being a chocolate day too :P
