i'm joining tara's "what i wore to work" link up today. she had a great idea to have people post the outfits that they wear to work for inspiration. i can't wait to check out everyone's posts! my office would probably be defined as business casual, though most of the men that work here are in suits and ties. i'm lucky that the women have a flair for fun clothes and have a lot of style, with business appropriate suits, dresses, and separates. i wore this to work which on top of my usual daily activities, included being at my desk, going to a meeting and even a surprise rare lunch date with my husband!
outfit - egads, a head to toe j. crew outfit. blazer: j. crew, old, similar here; blouse: j. crew, old; skirt: j. crew no. 2 pencil skirt in double serge wool, in ochre, old, other colours here; shoes: j. crew etta pumps, here

Love the blazer and the whole look, your life seems so much more grown up than mine and I'm decades older than you, I work from home - it's all rags and sweats at this end.

ReplyDeleteI think you did a good job pairing leopard heels to match the skirt, and J Crew should sponsor you with your head-to-toe outfit! ;)

thank you so much Elissa!! i am so grateful for your support! xox
DeleteThat J.Crew No.2 pencil skirt looks absolutely amazing on you. Will it stay wrinkle-free all day like that?
ReplyDeletethank you Sydney! i am sorry for the delay in responding - the skirt will wrinkle after a day sitting at a desk, but it isn't a crumpled mess and you're still quite presentable. it's not a bad wrinkling either (compared to the cotton), which is why i get these in the double serge wool whenever i can.
Deletehope this helps!! xox
