today, it's -31C/-24F with the windchill. i envy ladies who can rock beautiful coats and lighter layers around this time because it's big down-filled parkas for me. to bring fun into the mix, scarves spruce things up. they don't always have to be colourful though it helps, but being interesting is what i look for.
Cee has been wearing a great scarf knit by the lovely sewpetitegal (to no surprise, because S is so creative and talented). i was so excited that this was my christmas gift and have been wearing it non-stop since i got it. snoods are great because worn with an outfit, it creates the instant illusion of a cowl neckline, and adds texture (and i stay warm - bonus!) thanks alexis for posting the code for 40% off final sale (GET40) at j. crew.

as flats for work, these are great. i haven't put them to the test of walking around great distances yet because of the winter but i wouldn't pick them to walk in because i have ones that are already broken in for that (the blochs). i've heard and read from many that once you get past the breaking in period, that they are comfortable.
