scarf

today, it's -31C/-24F with the windchill. i envy ladies who can rock beautiful coats and lighter layers around this time because it's big down-filled parkas for me. to bring fun into the mix, scarves spruce things up. they don't always have to be colourful though it helps, but being interesting is what i look for.

Cee has been wearing a great scarf knit by the lovely sewpetitegal (to no surprise, because S is so creative and talented). i was so excited that this was my christmas gift and have been wearing it non-stop since i got it. snoods are great because worn with an outfit, it creates the instant illusion of a cowl neckline, and adds texture (and i stay warm - bonus!) thanks alexis for posting the code for 40% off final sale (GET40) at j. crew.

outfit - top: j. crew jewelled sweatshirt (style #13793), similar here; shirt: j. crew perfect shirt, old, similar on sale here and here; jeans: william rast kara skinny jeans, old; scarf: thanks to sewpetitegal, who also has an etsy shop, here; shoes: salvatore ferragamo varina flats, on sale here, lots of colours here and here.

  4. I simply adore the jewelled pullover and the Ferragamo ballerinas are perfect.
I wanted to buy them in black several months ago, but the SA told me they are not very comfortable.
What is your opinion on that?

    1. as flats for work, these are great. i haven't put them to the test of walking around great distances yet because of the winter but i wouldn't pick them to walk in because i have ones that are already broken in for that (the blochs). i've heard and read from many that once you get past the breaking in period, that they are comfortable.

i will be putting a review up soon! xox
