it's a bit obvious to say bonjour given that i'm wearing a "bonjour" sweater today, but i do say bonjour everyday. it started with my husband, who grew up in a little town and they just said "hi" or "good morning" to everyone they passed on the street. that habit hasn't changed now that he lives in the city and i thought that it was so civilized and polite. now, as a woman, i can't randomly say hi to any passerby but i make it a point to say hello to people i interact with. this has gotten me in a bit of trouble from time to time, as some people have given me their life story as a result. however, i love meeting people and learning about their lives, so i'm really good with that! (and apparently today is a hand over hip day)
boy 1.0 was also very pleased that his millenium falcon lego piece hasn't been cropped from this post. have a great day everyone!

ReplyDeletei once had a long haul flight where the passenger beside me spoke the whole time and i couldn't do my work. my boss was with me and said i wasn't allowed to speak with people on flights anymore. LOL.

DeleteAfter I moved to Italy I now say Buon giorno even to the last cleaning lady in our hospital every day...if you don't they start to think of you as snobby doctor, even if sometimes it is just that you have something in mind and don't even see the outer world, with them you've finished.
