a poncho of many accessories

when i posted this vince poncho before, a number of readers suggested different ways of styling it. it did pique my curiosity and i decided to do 1 poncho and switching around accessories to diversify the looks. i'm also going to share the "fashion police hubby style" comments my husband made as i interchanged things around.

we are going out tonight to celebrate my son's 8th birthday and he has given his preference for italian and pasta. he must be craving carbs, and if i'm to eat what he wants to order, this poncho will help.

look 1, a simple, clean look: "you're wearing a poncho, honey"

look 2 with a faux fur snood (american eagle, old, similar here): "this is like a martha stewart look but funkier."

look 3, with a statement necklace (a-thread, here): "babe, if your shirt is a button down, is it all right to undo the buttons at the collar?"

look 4, with a belt (hermes): "okay. now this is too different. i liked it loose."

outfit: poncho, vince, here - similar hereherehere; blouse: joe fresh, old; leggings, zara,  here; shoes: zara.

  1. I really love the first three, not so keen on it belted but more than anything I wish I was young enough to wear those leggings.

  11. Happy Birthday to your son! I love the styling of the last two. Although I know the poncho is meant to be worn loose, the belt ties everything and it looks sleek. Also, love the necklace, btw. :)

  12. ARGH still need to pick up those leggings - only YOU can look hot in a poncho! I actually really like it belted! I like all the ways - the fur collar one works surprisingly well (I wouldn't have thought of that) but I don't think I could pull that off :P

    Happy birthday to the kiddo!
