black and red is such a fun combination. they play with and off of each other well - and i think it is such a classic and elegant duo. add some gold accents, and you have one of my favourite combinations (i packed a similar outfit here on my travel adventures). i'm on leg one of three series of travel for work and have to turn my mind to packing again. this time, i procrastinated and packed the night before. a reason why i dread packing right now is because i'm not travelling in the summer where the weather is predictable. one of my trips is to orlando and i was told it is going to be raining the whole time. this is going to be an interesting challenge especially since i don't like to check my baggage! maybe i'll just pack a raincoat. or an umbrella.
how do you pack for different weather situations?
outfit - blazer: zara, here; top: j crew, old, similar here; necklace and bangles: t+j designs, old, but here is one i'm coveting (use code PHIPHI for 15% off) and amrita singh; jeans: citizens of humanity avedon slicks; shoes: christian louboutin nude patent numero prive; clutch: zara, here

DeleteThis is such a chic outfit! You are right, that colour combo is definitely classic and sophisticated. Looks gorgeous! I HATE packing right now. I feel like I'm always packing and unpacking (I go to my home town very often on weekends). I dread it so much that I actually end up packing just before I have to leave for the trip, and then I always forget everything. So in a nutshell, I'm of absolute no help. :)

DeleteI remain crazy about that red Zara blazer (and Zara in general, naturally). And you and I are on the same polka dotted team, which I maintain is an excellent team to be on.
ReplyDeleteSafe travels!
it is one of the best teams! :D zara has really been putting out fabulous pieces these past few seasons.
DeleteI am in love with your red blazer....one is high on my wish list!
ReplyDeletethank you tara - i hope you get one - it would work so well with your wardrobe!
DeleteOrlando can be an odd place to pack for! I'm always jealous of a puffy sleeve...I adore them but it doesn't work on my already accentuated shoulders. Either way I love black & red too, but usually do my black on top & red on bottom :)
ReplyDeleteit is an odd place to pack for - hot and cold at the same time. that combo for black and red is amazing too! xox
