zebra

this is one of my favourite jackets this season. i love blazers, as you know, but the devil is in the details, and this one has all the details i love. a bit of colour, a bit of pattern, and tweed? sold!

this is a knitted jacket and it is lined with a voile zebra print. it is fun and colourful - the lookbook and website show it as being red, but it is more orange/coral. i sized in a S, my regular zara blazer/dress size.  what i love about this jacket is its versatility, pair it with a LBD, and you're ready for a night out. switch it around with a fun top and jeans, and i have a mom-toting, lunching with friends or shopping outfit.

    1. hi makeupandpearls! the solid blazers are great and i really love them. those ones you've seen on this blog (fuschia, white, purple) i've had for years now. and they get worn on a regular rotation. the fantasy fabric ones are a bit different only because the material is tweedy, but the sleeves are frayed for effect, so you will get some shedding. overall though, i am a big fan of them for non-suit/trendy blazers. they're fun and not expensive. hope this helps! xox P

  3. Really love your outfit. How do you like Zara bags? I've been eyeing a couple of them but have yet to make the plunge. :) I was wondering how they were in terms of quality and durability. :)

    1. hi phoebe!! the tote i'm carrying is made of polyurethane, and if you were to take a plunge with bags, i'd recommend a leather one. (i'm eyeing the casual leather messenger bag myself)

my weekend bags have different purposes than my work bags. they get pushed to the limits of their lives, with junk my kids throw in and being bashed around in the trunk of the car. from what i've seen the construction of their bag looks good. the little clutches too. in terms of price point, these are inexpensive for what they are but not if you're looking for investment pieces. if you're looking for fun, trendy bags - they're great! hope this helps! xox P

  7. I adore that coral color...just bought a cardi & cami from F21 in that shade. I'm usually not too big on zebra, but this is so classic I love it.

  12. So nice to "meet" a fellow Zara aficionado. I'm just crazy about the classic blazers they've been putting out this season; I've invested in two already and likely to add more.

I also have that MK watch, which is just the best, most versatile accessory ever. Great investment.

Also, hi - Amy @ Forever 29 suggested that I'd like your blog, and she's right!
