The Citizens of Humanity Thompson skinny jeans (on sale here and here) are described on the shopbop.com website as having an 8.5" rise and 29" inseam. This means for tall people - these are capris. My bestie got these and had to return them because they were SO short on her. In fairness, she's a gorgeous.5ft8.glamazon and i blame her for my obsession with coloured denim. heck for a lot of my obsessions. LOL. For the petite lady - they are perfect!
I got these in ultra blue and loved it so much i bought the purple (the purple shade is called poison.. don't know why they called it that. i don't think of poison as being purple but i digress.. it's purple. me love purple.)
The 29" inseam is perfect for flats and they are fitted enough that you can put them comfortably in boots without smooshing in 7,389,498 inches of fabric around the legs/ankles.
Next up is the J Brand 811 Mid-rise Twill pants - which have an approximate 11" leg opening and 29" inseam. This colour is called black cherry and it is a darker red - not too burgundy like what you'd imagine black cherry to be, but it is definitely not a bright bright red. The pictures are pretty representative of the colour in real life. Comparing the fit, both are the same lengthwise (P is happy). The CoH are tighter along the leg but not scandalously so. Both materials are excellent but I have to say that the J Brands are SO SOFT! I am seriously trying not to be a weirdo rubbing my pants all the time, but this twill is beautiful to the touch.
Verdict: both brands are great buys. I strongly recommend both, as they fit so well! the colours they come in are fantastic too. J Brand has many more choices in the colour spectrum though. (also on sale here)
That j brand pants is beautiful. I love the whole outfit. I usually wear size 26 in coh, do you find that j brand runs similar in size?
